CCAT San Diego administers four technology commercialization programs in support of three government sponsors, which include the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Office of Transition; Office of Assistant Secretary of Defense, Homeland Defense and Americas' Security Affairs; and Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate. For all programs, CCAT conducts nationwide competitive solicitations to identify new cutting-edge technologies that offer solutions for military, first responder, and other homeland security priority requirements. The CCAT Programs include:

  • CCAT Program - The primary focus of this congressionally-funded program is to advance new technologies in support of priority DoD requirements in Unmanned Ground Vehicles (Joint Robotics Program), Naval Expeditionary Combat Command operations, and other DoD priority focus areas. For more information, visit the CCAT Program page here.

  • Technology Transfer (T2) Program - SDSU Entrepreneurial Management Center, working closely with SSC Pacific, provides services to facilitate a more rapid transition of technologies from government (DoD) laboratories and academic institutions via license agreements to existing and new start-up companies. For more information, visit the T2 Program page here.

  • 1401 Program - Working with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Americas' Security Affairs, the CCAT San Diego team in collaboration with representatives from the San Diego regional 1st responder community executes a program to identify DoD-funded technologies developed by industry, primarily small companies, to facilitate their transition to 1st responders.
